Color Guard & Winter Guard
The Saint Francis Color Guard functions as the auxiliary unit of the Lancer Marching Band. They perform at football games, parades and field competitions throughout Northern California during the Fall semester. All members are trained in dance, flag and rifle.
The Color Guard begins training during Band Camp, a one-week training camp with the entire Band. Members are introduced to fundamental techniques, show choreography and bond as a team. The color guard attends all scheduled Marching Band rehearsals, and is subject to additional scheduled rehearsals as needed. Go to www.sfhs.com/bandcamp to sign up for Color Guard!
The Saint Francis Winter Guard is an indoor pageantry unit which participates in the California Color Guard Circuit during the Spring semester. Winter Guard tryouts are held in December. Rehearsals are held twice a week after school from January through March.
